Autumn scene to reflect need for surrender as a source of empowerment and well being.

Courageously Letting Go and Stepping Into Your Radiance

As the crisp autumn air settles in and the vibrant colors of fall begin to paint the landscape, we are reminded that change is not only inevitable but necessary.

As the crisp autumn air settles in and the vibrant colors of fall begin to paint the landscape, we are reminded that change is not only inevitable but necessary. The autumn season is the perfect time to embrace the natural cycle of letting go of what no longer serves us—old stories, limiting beliefs, and wounds that have weighed us down. This act of release, though often frightening, is one of the most courageous and loving things we can do for ourselves.

Like the trees shedding their leaves, we, too, must have the strength to let go. I find myself in this season of personal transformation as I leave behind 20 years of corporate life to embark on a new journey—launching my own business, dedicated to helping professional women unlock their true potential. The lessons of fall remind me that the only way to step fully into our radiance is through letting go.

Letting go is an act of empowerment. It takes courage to release the old stories we tell ourselves—the ones that keep us small or trapped in cycles of fear, anxiety, and burnout. For many of us, whether in high-powered corporate roles or navigating life’s transitions, those stories may feel like safety nets. But the truth is, they weigh us down, keeping us disconnected from our highest selves.

Slowing Down to Move Inward

In a world that celebrates constant busyness, autumn encourages us to slow down. It is a time for inner discovery, a time to create space for balance and grounding. Ask yourself: What parts of your life or being feel out of alignment? Where do you feel the weight of the past dragging you back?

Slowing down allows us to listen to the messages within, to nurture the seeds that will carry us into the winter and beyond. Autumn is also a season of harvest—a time to reflect on what the stories, wounds, and beliefs were trying to teach us. These lessons are the seeds we harvest, the ones that will grow into something new, something beautiful, in the seasons to come.

The Power of Gratitude and Release

As we let go, we must also embrace gratitude. Gratitude for the challenges that shaped us, for the resilience we’ve built, for the inner strength that continues to rise. The more we let go, the more space we create to receive the gifts of the present.

As I navigate this transition—leaving behind the familiar comforts of corporate life and stepping into the unknown of entrepreneurship—I hold gratitude in my heart. It reminds me that each ending is a beginning, and each act of letting go is a step toward personal transformation and growth. Just as the earth takes the fallen leaves and turns them into nourishment for future growth, we, too, can let go of our burdens to fertilize the new seeds we wish to plant.

Reflection: Where Are You Letting Go?

So I ask you: What are you holding onto that no longer serves you? Is it an outdated narrative of who you should be? A fear that has held you back from stepping into your true power? Or perhaps it’s the pressure to constantly do more, be more, achieve more?

As we move further into autumn, I invite you to embrace this season of letting go, to welcome the holistic healing that comes with releasing past wounds, and to gather the wisdom from those experiences. Let this be your invitation to release with love, to honor the courage it takes to step into your next chapter, and to trust that what you plant today will bloom in the seasons ahead.
